Designing effective communications

So, what do ‘purpose; cognitive biases; car crashes; the future of food (and work); love, creativity and AI’ have to do with designing effective communications?

Quite a lot apparently, according to Lee Parkinson, our Strategic Director.

On 18th September, we hosted the Christchurch branch of the Marketing Association’s ‘After 5’ networking event in Strategy Creative’s Thinking Room. These ‘After 5’ events are a great way for local Marketing Association members and colleagues to network, have a drink and nibbles together. We had a full house, with people from industries as diverse as education, agri-business, tech industries, health sector and professional services and media owners.

We had been asked to prepare and present a subject for the evening, and so this is why Lee took a ‘box of chocolates’ approach to talking about things to consider when designing effective communications. Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening, and we had some very kind comments and feedback on the night, as well as further emails the following day.

Thank you to Lydia, Jayne and Emily from the MA committee for running the official side of the evening. We look forward to hosting another event next year.
